Same-sex marriage. Let’s talk about facts and history.
Back in 1989, Denmark became the only country in the European Union, and throughout the world, where same-sex unions were officially recognized.
Then these unions were called «registered partnerships.»
There were certain restrictions — one of the partners had to have citizenship of this country.
Today, same-sex marriages for non-EU residents can also be registered here, in Denmark.
For same-sex partners, it was very difficult to officially register their relationship.
Already in the spring of 2012, the registration of same-sex marriage in Denmark was legally permitted.
Now, non-residents of this country can officially register their relationship. To date, the list of countries where gay marriage is allowed has been expanded.
In 2020, same-sex marriage is permitted in 29 countries. Read more about same-sex LGBT marriages on Wikipedia.
These are such countries: Denmark, Portugal, Iceland, etc.
Also popular with same-sex couples is the civil partnership registration service. Such a union is equivalent to official marriage, but there are differences. A couple who has registered a civil partnership does not have a couple to adopt children. We help same-sex couples register a civil partnership in Cyprus. If you dream of a quick and most romantic wedding on the sea, contact us, we will organize your wedding in Cyprus in the best possible way.
However, registering same-sex marriage in Denmark remains the easiest, fastest, and cheapest option for a gay wedding.

Usually, a wedding in Denmark takes 2 days (requiring an overnight stay). Once your marriage license is granted, we book your date and select a registry office. You must present your original documents at the registry office in Denmark. Typically, document verification takes place the day before the ceremony, and the wedding itself is held on the second day.
We collaborate with several registry offices: some are located in municipalities near the German border, others are on islands, and we also work with the Copenhagen registry office. Our managers will recommend the best date and location tailored specifically to your needs.
For example, for international couples living in different countries or even on different continents, Copenhagen is often the most convenient option for travel. This requires one overnight stay. Alternatively, you can choose a one-day wedding in Denmark (no overnight stay required).

The Apostille for your Danish marriage certificate is a crucial step that must not be overlooked. This stamp is highly likely to be required for your family reunification process following your wedding in Denmark.
We always handle the Apostille process for your Danish marriage certificate. We offer two options: Standard and Express.
Please note that the waiting period for a Standard Apostille may increase due to reasons beyond our control (depending on the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Some registry offices require witnesses. If you choose the “ALL-INCLUSIVE” package, we provide witnesses for you and handle all organizational matters.
If you select the “STANDARD” package, depending on the registry office, you may be required to provide witnesses and an interpreter for the ceremony. Since this package does not include our accompaniment service, you will need to find witnesses and an interpreter yourself or book and pay for this service separately through us. Please note that booking witnesses and interpreters is only possible in advance and for specific dates and locations.
With the “ALL-INCLUSIVE” and “LUX” packages, you do not need to bring your own witnesses. We provide our own witnesses at the registry office and for outdoor or destination weddings in Denmark.
If you wish to bring guests, their travel and accommodation must be discussed in advance. Each guest is charged separately (overnight stay, transfer). The service package price covers the couple only; all other relatives and friends are subject to additional costs. All you need to do is inform us of your wishes in advance.
